Testimonials "I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed, and it was definitely worth getting up early and travelling an hour across town to attend. " " I expected the sessions to be informative
and practical just like your articles that I read religiously. I'm happy
to say I wasn't disappointed and it was definitely worth getting up early
and travelling an hour across town to attend. The only downside is that I'm going to have
to spend time re-writing my webcopy to change my website, although I'm
sure the upside of a better targeted message that gets my customers attention
will soon pay off. "After attending
the event, I walked away with my head buzzing...I'd be crazy not to implement
what I'd learnt." After attending the event, I walked away with my head buzzing - how easy the concepts are - initially I wondered how I might be able to apply it as skillfully as Sean does to my own business. However, with the delivery making so much logical sense, I'd be crazy not to implement what I'd learnt. My biggest learning-I now fully understanding how Yes-Yes works, and looking forward to doing some of my own bundling/unbundling. I would recommend the 'The Learning Rock
Series' because, Sean's techniques throw traditional marketing and selling
out the window - how refreshing! Makes child's play out of effectively
presenting your services/products, so that customers see the true value
in them. The techniques make the 'sales pitch' so convincing, that customers
would be crazy not to buy." "I'm not a great fan of seminars, and frankly I can't stand the "motivational speaker" industry. " "I've got a great business, that is breaking new technical ground having gone through a few years of technical and market stasis. It's a technical production business (screen printing), but also heavily sales driven (into the brand managers and fashion designers sectors) I'm not a great fan of seminars, and frankly I can't stand the "motivational speaker" industry. Same old hacks at every one of them hoping for some epiphany that will deliver them from the job/business that they're in. Against my normal MO I read your PsychoTactics letter, although sometimes not as thoroughly as I should (at least I'm honest, if also recalcitrant). So with a critical eye did I come to your first Learning Rock seminar... and I can only say I'm mightily impressed. The "TRIGGERS " subject could easily have been PsychoBabble, but it wasn't; it was clear, scientific PsychoTactics. The points that struck home were: Selling is structure/science, not random event. Identifying market groups as in defined a categorisation as is POSSIBLE is ESSENTIAL (this automatically defines appropriateness of services and type of offer) A target needs their curiosity stimulated to avoid "pass-by/Yeah Right" immediate reaction. Presentation needs to have a trigger of curiosity, and second, third and even fourth peaks (vis a vis the "Roller Coaster" simile). And longevity/customer security is about faith and contact I've exercised the Roller Coaster tactic in the paragraph order above, just for fun. I hope it worked." Alan Dempsey,Director "I would recommend 'The Learning
Rock Series', and even more so now--after attending the first session" "After attending the first event, it reinforcing
my own knowledge, and it was good to hear it said a different way. "I am looking forward to attending the next event.""Knowing Sean's products as I do, my perceptions of The Learning Rock, before the event were very high! I found the event excellent, informative and easy to understand. My biggest learning from this session was
that target audience is the most important. I would recommend 'The Learning
Rock Series', as a great ground up approach to marketing." Harley M Storey, Managing Director, Auckland,
New Zealand "I liked the structure and the fact that you didn’t present too much information, and there was no ‘pitch’!""Before attending: 'The Learning Rock', seemed very well organised, created urgency, caught my interest. I wondered what the ‘sales pitch’ would be, and was keen to hear you speak as I enjoy reading your articles in the Herald. "I found the session very organised, good
presenter, warm, liked the structure and the fact that you didn’t
present too much information and no ‘pitch’! I enjoyed the presentation-have already told my fiancé who is the GM of a company in New Lynn who are trying to refocus their marketing" Katherine Malkin, Consultant "I am happy to get up early again to listen to advice that made me wonder why I didn't think of it myself :It is simple and straight forward. " "I am happy to get up early again to listen
to advice that made me wonder why I am happy to recommend the Learning Rock series
and in fact I have already Peter Deutschle "I was not sure if there was going to be a sales pitch at the end. I wasn't sure if it would be worth while missing yoga to come." After the events: "I was so keen I turned up a day early! No matter what business you are in, you will get value!" "Having been a keen reader of the Psychotactics emails, I knew it would be insightful and I wasn't disappointed. I was so keen I turned up a day early! Ok, I admit, that was a mistake (the devil is in the detail!) It is always worth learning or even just being reminded of the basic requirement to understand things from the customers perspective. This session on pricing went straight to the needs of the customer and explained why it isn't really about price at all - and it all made perfect sense. My biggest learning was: It's all about the customer and what they perceive as value. Sean has a unique way of summarising and exampling universal elements of all business into easy to understand, easy to implement key points. No matter what business you are in, you will get value!" Jo Hampton "The learning rock is an all-encompassing
sales / marketing place, with lots to learn and discover."
Kurt Mauff "I always learn something and the series is easy, not too long, and informative."
I have a new thought process and am about change my card! My biggest learning? -The bracket of three - Helen Hunt move over, AND,
my card should be making my business attractive. Sean, I enjoy your learning sessions and I'm always entertained. You are an erudite speaker and you have the ability to explain yourself in a clear precise manner. I always learn something and the series is easy, not too long, and informative. I go to learn a new tricks, and I always do. Because in spite of knowing everything, I knew you would put a different slant on something and open my mind somehow. Think laterally - well you do, and I thank you for it." "I would definitely recommend The Learning Rock series because the information was useful, pertinent and to the point." "My perception prior to the event was
that I would be getting some valuable and free information/knowledge just
for making the effort to be there at 7.15 am!
"After reading some of your material, I had the feeling that this was going to be a very useful seminar." "I learned that there is something else behind
a “nice” Business Card, it is not just a presentation tool,
it is also a powerful selling instrument if designed and presented properly. I want to be present at your next event because I can see the benefits of attending it. And I am sure other people will also take good advantage of your information and The Learning Rock Series." Javier Castelltort "My most profound experiences have been when I listen – thanks for the reminder..." "Thank you so much, for all you taught me
today. I know this will have a profound effect on my business. Thank you
for taking the time to listen (and hear), what I had to say. I really
appreciated it Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I totally recommend the Learning Rock series – and Psychotactics. Even though I felt resistance to making these changes (after all the effort I had put into doing things ineffectively) – I am now realising how dramatically these changes will enhance business - my ability to connect with people and turn prospects into clients. PS: My most profound experiences have been when I listen – thanks for the reminder ;-) Wahoo! I’m inspired " Arohanui "I'd already attended one of your sessions before so I knew it'd be good. I knew it'd be worth getting up for." "And it lived up to my expectations. One of my pet subjects has been peoples business cards and how they need to be clear and concise, and I also speak about the 3 elements. However, you took it all to a new level by talking about giving value to the recipient. That was excellent. My biggest learning was, using the card to get a buy in from the recipient so as to get them willingly added to your data base. I would recommend "The Learning Rock Series
'because you get good "I was so excited about getting to Sean's workshop I turned up a day early at 6.30am!" "I was so excited about getting to Sean's
workshop I turned up a day early at 6.30am!
Shane Heenan "It was good to meet some other business people - and meet a couple of brief acquaintances." "It was a very early start for me - but I
hoped it would be a worthwhile session as I am
My card is back on the drawing board and will be
a much better marketing tool now. I need to get a killer tagline sorted.
